FAQ's

We want you to stay up to date on the latest information so here's where we'll post it ... This page is a work in progress so bear with me as I update and make changes :)

Reinventing your training experience...

When Will I See ...

Exam Results: 2 to 4 weeks

You will find your Pass/Fail results in your IMSA profile under the My Courses tab in the Completed Online Courses section.

If you missed any required information, IMSA will notify you in the notes section.

There may be two seperate notices in your Notes section and one thing does not affect the other. Here are some examples:

If it says "Passed Exam-- Missing Work Zone prerequisite", you passed your exam but your certificate won't post until you submit the noted prerequisite.

OR

If it says "Failed Exam-- Missing Work Zone prerequisite", you didn't get a passing score and, unfortunately, nothing is changing that. The note about missing the Workzone is to remind you to upload it before you attempt a retest :)

Certificate Available: 4 to 8 weeks

Your certificate will be available for download from your IMSA profile (hard copies are no longer available). You'll find it under the My Certification Record tab of your profile. There are two green buttons that will allow you to print your Certification Card and your Certificate.

NOTE: The window that opens for your certificate does not scroll. It has a gray bar that allows you to page over so you can see any other active certificates you may have :)

Renewals: 4 to 8 weeks

I review and submit renewal paperwork to IMSA once a month. When IMSA International finalizes your renewal, you’ll get an email from communications@imsasafety.org that looks like an invoice.

DON’T pay that! I’ve already taken care of that for you :)

It will have your name on the Bill To: but it will have MY information on the Name on Card: Stacey Mueller. That email confirms they’ve processed MY payment for you and that your certificate should be available for download from your IMSA profile :)

If you send anything directly to IMSA International instead of following the directions I sent, I’m going to assume you don’t want me to pay your fees and I’ll let you make that unnecessary payment :)

ACCESSING YOUR IMSA PROFILE

Download your own certificates and upload your own credit hours!!

It's not just for IMSA Members... Everyone that has an IMSA certificate has an IMSA profile that they can access. You don' t need to be a member to do it; you just need to follow these steps:

1 - Go to https://www.imsasafety.org/

2 - At the top right corner, select IMSA Login

3 - Select Check here first to find your credentials to login.

4 - Search by your First Initial and Last Name ONLY!

5 - Note your username and verify the correct email is listed.

If the email is incorrect, contact the IMSA membership department at (321)349-3569 or email membership@imsasafety.org

6 - If the email is correct, return to the Sign In page.

7 - Select Forgot password.

8 - An email will be sent so you can set/reset your password.

9 - Save your username and password :)

IMSA Renewals

All IMSA Certifications have a one-year grace period.

That means if you got busy and forgot to renew before your expiration date, you have one year after that listed expiration to get your hours and renew your certification(s) without needing to retake the program or sit for an exam!

Did you know: You can enter your continuing education credits right into your IMSA profile? Watch this short video for instructions.

RENEWING TRAFFIC SIGNALS CERTIFICATIONS

Did you know that the hours between the Traffic Signal Inspector and Traffic Signal Technician are interchangeable in regards to renewals?

The curriculum between the Inspector and Tech certifications is such that someone with a Signal Inspector or Signal Tech of ANY level can attend ANY of the following 16 hour programs and use those hours to renew:

Traffic Signal 1

Traffic Signal 2

Signal Inspector

Signal Inspector - Advanced Technologies

No exam is required; just sit for hours and submit applicable paperwork :)

FOR WORKZONE

We found you some freebie hours :)

Because the Florida Department of Transportation requires workers in Florida to have the FDOT Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) Certifications, we don't offer the IMSA Workzone here but we do understand students outside of Florida still need to renew their Workzone certifications so we went and found some resources for you :D

NHI offers a National Traffic Incident Management Responder Training (course code 133126A). It's 4.5 hours, Web-Based, and costs $0!

In case you didn't know, hours from an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 can be applied to your Workzone renewal and you can use the Florida TTC program hours toward your Workzone as well.
